Pilates
I earned my STOTT Pilates certification as I went through my own journey of healing from severe back pain. Pilates techniques and movements taught me to recruit my deep abdominals, stabilize my core, and improve my posture -- and it transformed my understanding of the body. I use Pilates methods to help my patients regain strength, stability, flexibility and posture during their rehab.

Pilates is an exercise method using a movement repertoire based on principles such as breathing, axial extension, core stability, joint mobility, and overall movement integration. These exercises are performed on either a mat or specialized Pilates equipment such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, and Ladder Barrel. A complete Pilates session addresses the whole body and moves the spine and muscles through their full range of motion, resulting in increased strength, flexibility, and improved posture, balance.
